Driver In Elmhurst Crash Runs Away: Cops

ELMHURST, IL – The lone occupant of a car that was involved in a crash over the weekend in Elmhurst ran away after it occurred, police said.

The police happened upon the single-car crash about 2:30 a.m. Sunday near North Avenue and the Interstate 290 bridge. They were told a man wearing dark clothing had run away.

The car was a black four-door Ford, which was then towed away, police said.
