DUI Crash, Railroad Trespass: Elmhurst Arrests

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of DUI, criminal damage, trespassing and drug possession. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

DUI

  • Carlos Redin-Dena, 37, of Melrose Park, was arrested about 11 p.m. Thursday at St. Charles and Fair on charges of DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident. He was released on bond.
  • Maria Bejar-Gonzales, 42, of Chicago, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of West North on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and possession of open alcohol. She was released on bond.

Trespassing

  • Alexis M. Minor, 23, of Lockport, was cited on a charge of criminal trespass to railroad property. In the same incident, Richard Haiman, 53, of Rolling Meadows, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and criminal trespass to state-supported land. The offenses occurred about 10:30 a.m. July 25 near Route 83. Minor and Haiman were charged Aug. 17 and Sept. 15, respectively. They were released on bond.

Criminal damage

  • Israel Rodriguez, 31, of Round Lake Beach, was cited about 3:30 p.m. Friday at County Line and Grand on a charge of criminal damage to property. According to a police report, Rodriguez admitted to damaging the passenger side mirror of the car driven by a person who crashed into his. He was released on bond.

Drug possession

  • Billy Ray, 47, of Wheaton, was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Park and Adell on warrants and charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing identification. According to a police report, Billy was found in possession of heroin and cut straws. He provided a false name to officers. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Davyd Dotson, 23, of Bellwood, was arrested about 11 p.m Saturday at St. Charles and West on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving a car while using a phone and wearing no seat belt. According to a police report, an officer found four burnt straws containing black residue determined to be PCP in Dotson's car. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Warrant

  • Jason Haines, 36, of Fox Lake, was arrested about 9:30 a.m. Sept. 12 at St. Charles and Route 83 on a warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
