DUIs, Aggravated Assault To A Police Officer: Elmhurst Police Reports

The following items were taken from the Elmhurst police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Driving While License Suspended

• Jesus Solis-Sotelo, 37, of Villa Park, was arrested at 5:22 a.m. Sept. 25 at St. Charles and Fair for driving while license suspended and speeding.

Aggravated Assault

• Jorie Vandermolen, 30, of the 200 block of East Vallette, was arrested at 10 p.m. Sept. 25 at Vallette and Cambridge for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. Vandermolen was arrested again at 4:24 p.m. Sept. 27 in the 200 block of Vallette for aggravated assault to a police officer, resisting, domestic battery and violation of bail bond. She was taken to DuPage County Jail.

No Valid Driver's License

• Maria Rocha, 34, of Villa Park, was arrested at 3:49 p.m. Sept. 26 at St. Charles and Cottage Hill for no valid driver's license.
• David Solis-Marcelo, 57, of Villa Park, was arrested at 7:39 a.m. Sept. 27 at Route 83 and Second for no valid driver's license and disobeying a traffic control device.

DUI

• Demetrio Moreno, 38, of Addison, was arrested at 7:27 p.m. Sept. 26 at Route 83 and I-290 for DUI-alcohol, driving without headlights, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving while license suspended. He was transported to DuPage County Jail on a valid warrant.
• Manuel Carrillo, 29, of Addison, was arrested at 11:34 p.m. Sept. 27 at Lake and Maple for DUI-alcohol, no valid driver's license, improper lane usage and violation of bail bond order. He was transported to DuPage County Jail.

Retail Theft

• Abed Oweina, 51, of Bensenville, was arrested at 6:16 p.m. Sept. 27 in the 600 block of North York for retail theft.
• Dumitru Purice, 53, of Bensenville, was arrested at 7:41 p.m. Sept. 27 at Mariano's, 678 N. York, for retail theft.
