The men also stole from a store in Hillside and led police on a high-speed chase, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – Three men stole thousands of dollars in merchandise from Walgreens stores in Elmhurst and Hillside on Monday before being caught in Chicago, authorities said.
About 11:30 a.m., the trio made off with more than $1,000 in hair care and health-testing projects off the shelf at Walgreens on Robert Palmer Drive in Elmhurst, according to a news release from DuPage County prosecutors.
They then stole more than $3,000 worth of merchandise at a Walgreens in Hillside, which is to Elmhurst's east, police said.

The three men led officers on a high-speed chase, with officers unsuccessfully deploying tire deflation devices to stop the men's 2016 Dodge Dart, prosecutors said. Then a Chicago police helicopter joined the pursuit.
The Dodge came to a stop in Chicago, with the men running away from the car, police said.

Jamar Beach, 37, and Ladontan Miles, 23, both of Chicago, were caught, while the other man got away, police said. Beach and Miles were charged with felony burglary and retail theft.
“The shared technology and investigative partnerships with neighboring law enforcement agencies was key to building a strong organized retail crime case against these defendants in DuPage County,” Elmhurst Police Chief Michael McLean said in the news release.
