Eatery Harassment, Confrontation: Elmhurst Cops
Two restaurant employees were harassed by a visitor, according to a police report.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving harassment at a restaurant, a confrontation, a disturbance, abandoned bicycles, identity theft and a fugitive driver, among other incidents. Here is the information from Elmhurst police reports:
Harassment
- Starbucks, 164 N. York St., told police that a suspect had been harassing two employees shortly after noon Tuesday. An officer advised the restaurant to call police when the suspect returns.

- A few men walked toward a porch about 6 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of South Berkley Avenue. When the resident confronted them, they ran toward a gold minivan. She described them as 18 to 25 years old and having dark hair.
Disturbance
- About 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, a person was being verbally abusive to staff at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road. Police were called to respond to the disturbance. The suspect was issued a no-trespass notice and released.

- A person fell on city property in the 900 block of South Spring Road, likely on the street or sidewalk. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
Bicycles found
- An officer found two mountain bicycles about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of South Stratford Avenue. Both were 26-inch, 21-speed bikes. One was gray, the other was blue. They were placed into evidence for safekeeping.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 500 block of East Adams Street told police Tuesday that someone opened two online bank accounts using his personal information.
Fugitive driver
- An officer tried to stop a white Nissan Maxima for tinted windows and no front license plate about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of South York Street. The driver sped away, last seen heading west on Cambridge Avenue.
Theft
- A theft was reported as taking place about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of South Spring Road. An investigation is pending.
Warrant
- Paul J. Igyarto, 33, of Lemont, was arrested about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of North County Line Road on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant. He was arrested after a crash. He was released on bond.
Driving violations
- Prince Apraku, 45, of Addison, was cited about 8 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles and Route 83 on charges of obstruction of identification, no valid driver's license and speeding. He was released on bond.
- Myisha Simpson, 27, of University Park, was cited shortly after midnight Thursday at West and Belden on charges of driving with a suspended license, obstructing a police officer, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to signal. She was released on bond.
