Elmhurst Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested: Cops
The man is accused of holding up suburban banks over a year, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – A man suspected of bank robberies in Elmhurst and Franklin Park was arrested last week at a house in Franklin Park, authorities said.
German Campos Jr., 24, faces two federal counts of bank robbery. He remained behind bars Tuesday at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago, according to jail records.
Two of the holdups were on Dec. 16 and June 13 at U.S. Bank, 536 S. York St., according to an Elmhurst police news release.

In the first robbery, Campos implied he had a weapon, but did not show it, while in the second case, he displayed a handgun, police said.
The FBI helped Elmhurst and Franklin Park police in the investigation, with the agencies identifying Campos as committing several bank robberies over a year in the Chicago suburbs, police aid.
