Elmhurst Bar Under City Investigation: Cops

The bar is being looked at for a possible liquor license violation, police say.

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police found early Sunday morning that a local bar was operating after the permitted time, according to a report.

Police showed up at Fitz's Spare Keys, 119 N. York St., shortly before 4 a.m., the police report said. The police labeled the incident a possible liquor license violation and said the case will be investigated.

According to Fitz's Facebook page, the bar is scheduled to close at 2 a.m. on Sundays. On Saturday night, Tommy Pope was scheduled to perform.

According to the page, the business includes 14 bowling lanes, seven pool tables and a live music venue.

Fitz's Spare Keys couldn't be reached for immediate comment.
