Elmhurst Business Owner Arrested For Possessing Child Pornography
Police said investigation revealed a banker's box containing thousands of images of child pornography inside of the office.

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst Police have arrested an Elmhurst business owner and resident after an employee discovered images of child pornography on a printer. Police said Ralph Tellefsen, 62, of the 100 block of Berkley, has been arrested and charged with seven counts of possession of child pornography, a class 2 felony, because of this incident.
The images were discovered on a printer in the business office of Tellefsen & Associates, at 126 S. York St., on Aug. 27, according to a release. Police said investigation revealed a banker's box containing thousands of images of child pornography inside of the office.
Elmhurst Police Chief Michael Ruth said in a release detectives believe that the photographs were downloaded and copied from the internet. Tellefsen remains in the custody of the DuPage County Sheriff on $75,000 bond with 10 percent to apply.

"The sheer number of child pornography images allegedly possessed by Mr. Tellefsen is nauseating,” DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a release. “Each one of these disgusting photographs represents yet another innocent victim of child pornography. The filing of today’s charges against Mr. Tellefsen sends the message that my office will move swiftly and vigorously to prosecute any allegations of child pornography."
Tellefsen’s next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 18, in front of Judge John Kinsella. Additional conditions for Tellefsen should he be able to post bond include no contact with children under 18 years of age and no computer or Internet access.
