Elmhurst Church Members Victimized In Scam: Cops
In another case, a purse was stolen from an unlocked car in an Elmhurst neighborhood, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving fraud, a car burglary, a threat, a dog bite and sexual advances. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Fraud
- Several parishioners at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 426 N. West Ave., received phone calls Thursday from a stranger purporting to be a victim. The suspect requested the parishioners send money.
Car burglary

- A purse that contained a phone was stolen from an unlocked car between noon and 1 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of East Schiller Street.
Threat
- A person told police that someone threatened to harm him during an argument between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Napleton's Kia of Elmhurst, 727 W. Grand Ave. An investigation is pending.
Dog bite

- A man told police that a beagle mix bit him in the right arm while he was delivering food about 5:30 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of West Babcock Avenue. The report was sent to DuPage County Animal Services.
Sexual advances
- A woman told police that she met with a fleet manager about a truck lease about 2:30 p.m. Friday at Super Ego Holding, 677 N. Larch Ave. The manager drove her to a trailer yard and made sexual advances. An investigation is pending.
