Elmhurst Cops Make Arrests for Drug Possession, Domestic Battery

Officers with the Elmhurst Police Department made arrests on various changes, including cannabis possession, other traffic violations.

ELMHURST, IL — The Elmhurst Police Department made five arrests for illegal possession of cannabis along with other offenses in recent days. Here is information from the reports:

  • Efrain Quezada, 28, Melrose Park, was arrested at 2:09 a.m. on March 25 for possession of cannabis and driving with one headlight. He was released on bond.
  • Marcal Smith, 26, Rantoul, was arrested at 9:55 p.m. on March 26 for driving under the influence, speeding, improper lane change, and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver. He was released on bond.
  • Joshua Lamping, 22, Aurora, was arrested at 10:14 p.m. on March 26 for unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and speeding. He was released on bond.
  • Terrell Payton, 24, Chicago, was arrested at 1:52 a.m. on March 27, for possession of a fraudulent identification card, possession of cannabis by a driver, no valid driver’s license, improper lane change, tinted windows and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail and was later released.
  • Kyle Sowards, 32, Chicago, was arrested at 1:57 a.m. on March 27 for domestic battery. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail and later released.
  • Amy Ryan, 45, Elmhurst, was arrested at 10:55 a.m. on March 27 for disobeying a stop sign. She was released on bond.
  • Martiz Owens, 27, Chicago, was arrested at 1:36 p.m. on March 28 for improper lane usage, failure to give aid or information at a property damage accident. He was released on bond.
  • Shakur Underwood, 24, Chicago, was arrested at 10:09 p.m. on March 28 for possession of cannabis by a driver, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with only one headlight. He was released on bond.
