This Elmhurst D-205 Project Ahead Of Schedule: Official
Employees can start moving into the building by July, the official said.

ELMHURST, IL – Delays in construction projects these days are commonplace, given problems in the supply chain.
But that situation apparently has had little impact on the Lincoln Elementary School project in Elmhurst.
On Tuesday, the Elmhurst School District 205 board received good news about Lincoln, which is being replaced.

"We're right on schedule for opening for the next school year," said Todd Schmidt, the district's facilities director. "Actually, we're a little bit ahead of schedule right now. Hopefully, I don't jinx it. We're in really good shape."
Schmidt said the district could start moving employees into the building in July.

"We're right where we need to be right now, with no anticipated delays that we know about," he said.
Schmidt described the project as "amazing" and "pretty cool," with a lot of colors.
School board President Kara Caforio said the news was "phenomenal."
Starting this summer, the district plans to demolish Field Elementary School and replace it over the next year. It is following the same schedule as Lincoln.
The district has a new page on its website with information about its construction projects.
