Elmhurst D-205 Virus Caseload Falls Further
One school reported considerably more cases than any of the others.

ELMHURST, IL – The number of coronavirus cases in Elmhurst School District 205 dropped nearly in half in the last week of school, according to its regular report.
As of last Friday, the district reported 31 cases among students, or one case for every 270. That's down from the previous week's 57. Two weeks earlier, the number stood at 113.
Bryan Middle School had the most cases at the end of the week, at 15. The largest school, York High, had two, with graduating seniors not attending the last week.

Madison Early Childhood Center reported three cases, while all the other schools had no cases or just one or two.
Among district employees, 11 had the coronavirus as of Friday, down from 19 the week before.

Since the beginning of the school year, the district has recorded 2,104 coronavirus cases among students and staff.
