Elmhurst Dad And Daughter Struck By Lightning In Florida: Reports
The pair were knocked off their feet after a Yankees spring training baseball game, according to media reports.
ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst father and daughter John and Ashley Moberg were struck by lightning over the weekend in Tampa, where they had been watching a Yankees spring training baseball game, according to media reports.
The strike happened outside Steinbrenner Field. They were knocked off their feet and couldn't get up briefly, media reported.
ABC7 Chicago reported that the father and daughter are safely back in Illinois. Ashley, 19, is a graduate of York High School.

"There was a bright flash and a loud boom that I heard, and the next thing I knew I was flying out of my shoes and my ears were ringing," Ashley Moberg told ABC7. "I saw my dad hit his head on the ground, then I hit the ground. I thought my dad was dead for about 10 seconds there while I was lying on the pavement trying to figure out whether I had died."
