ELMHURST, IL – A man was found lying unresponsive earlier this month in the parkway near York Street and Cayuga Avenue, police said.

About 7 p.m. July 4, officers and medics responded to a call about the man, according to a police blotter entry. Medics took the man to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No other information was made available.

Patch filed a public records request for the police report. On Wednesday, the city denied the request. It said the matter was under "active investigation pending disposition from the Coroner's Office."
