Elmhurst Dinner Event Will Discuss Educational, Career Opportunities For Veterans

The event will take place at American Legion Post #187 and will discuss educational and career opportunities for veterans.

ELMHURST, IL — Veterans in Elmhurst will have the opportunity to learn about career and educational programs in the area. According to a release, the American Legion Auxiliary, with Elmhurst College and Elmhurst Public Library, will hold the free dinner event from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 12. The event will take place at American Legion Post #187, 310 W. Butterfield.

According to the release, speakers from organizations that offer volunteering, certifications, and college credit for military service will lead a discussion. Guests can network with non-VA affiliated organizations that offer opportunities for veterans to boost their educational and professional lives. In addition, there will be a brief service honoring the victims of 9/11.
