Elmhurst Dog Walker Gets Into Argument: Police
In another case, a man was charged with eluding police after speeding away from a traffic stop, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a dog-walking argument, a man eluding an officer, drugs and forgery. Here is information from the latest police reports:
Dog-walking argument
- A person told police that he got into an argument with a man who was walking his dog shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of South Stratford Avenue. Both people wanted the incident documented. It was listed as disorderly conduct.

- A 22-year-old Broadview man was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at North Avenue and Michigan Street on charges of attempting to elude a police officer, unlawful possession of marijuana in a car, driving with expired license plates and driving with a suspended registration. The man sped away from a traffic stop, police said. He was released.
Drugs
- A 52-year-old Aurora man was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mariano's, 678 N. York St., on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute. In the same incident, a 50-year-old Chicago man was arrested on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.

- A woman told police Wednesday she mailed a check Oct 7, placing it in the outside mailbox at the Elmhurst post office, 154 W. Park Ave. The check was later altered for a higher amount. An investigation is pending.
