Elmhurst Event On Marijuana And Vaping

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst parents and teens can find out more about the changing landscape of marijuana, vaping use and legislation in Illinois, according to an Elmhurst School District news release. Matthew Quinn, a certified alcohol and drug counselor in Elmhurst, will present information 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the large meeting room at the Elmhurst Public Library.

Quinn will focus on the problems associated with the increasing potency of marijuana, combined with the continued decrease in perception of harmfulness among youth, the release said. Quinn plans to offer guidance to parents for open discussions about this topic with their teens. School district and city officials will be on hand to provide local statistics and answer questions.
