Elmhurst Exhibit Shows How City Grew

Collection includes Carl Sandburg's typewriter and local memorabilia.

ELMHURST, IL — An exhibit at the Elmhurst History Musem lets people know how the city grew and developed over the years, according to a news release. Visitors can see an interactive tabletop map, videos, photos and other interactives as well as artifacts from the museum's collection, including Carl Sandburg's typewriter and local school and business memorabilia.

Visitors also can check out a changing display of objects and photos featured in the History Spotlight and history of the Glos Mansion and family.

The museum is open 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Sunday. Admission is free. For more information visit elmhursthistory.org or call 630-833-1457.
