Elmhurst Flooding Causes Road Closures

ELMHURST, IL — Due to heavy rain, Elmhurst is experiencing flooding, causing many road closures throughout the city. According to the city website, the following streets are closed:

• North Avenue at I-290 – eastbound lanes closed
• Route 83 at the railroad tracks – southbound lanes closed and northbound is down to one lane
• York & Lake/1-290 - southbound is closed
• Palmer Drive at First – closed

The City’s Street Division is working on these areas, according to a release. Drivers are cautioned to avoid these areas and expect delays.
