ELMHURST, IL – The formalities of a ribbon-cutting ceremony filled with dignitaries is set for next week at the new Lincoln Elementary School in Elmhurst.

As a practical matter, the school is already done.

The only exception is the playground. Its installation starts Friday and is expected to last two weeks, according to Elmhurst School District 205.

Earlier this summer, the district demolished Field Elementary. It is now replacing the school, a project expected to last a year.
