Elmhurst Hospital recognizes Addison Fire Dept. with EMS "Run of the Month"

Elmhurst Hospital’s May 2015 EMS (Emergency Medical Services) “Run of the Month” has been awarded to Addison Fire Department paramedics Christopher Edwards, Daniel Midell, Robert Shea and Christopher Sterricker.

The crew was recognized for its efforts in response to a call regarding a patient who was suffering from chest pain. While on the way to Elmhurst Hospital, the patient developed vital signs and symptoms that indicated a potential heart problem. The paramedics notified Elmhurst Hospital of an incoming cardiac alert and successfully transferred the patient to the hospital’s ER staff. The patient received the care he needed and was later discharged.

Elmhurst Hospital has been honoring area EMS providers with the “Run of the Month” since 2012. Teams are selected based on the following criteria:
