Electronics Recycling Event Held In Elmhurst

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the Public Works Garage, 985 S. Riverside Drive.

ELMHURST, IL — The city of Elmhurst will host an Electronics Recycling Event on Aug. 25 for residents. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the Public Works Garage, 985 S. Riverside Drive.

According to the city, household electronics will be accepted, but fees apply for TVs and monitors. Items accepted include: PCs, modems, printers, keyboards, cables, telephones, hair dryers, microwaves, DVD players, VCRs, cameras, camcorders and more.

Items not accepted include: large appliances, alkaline batteries, wooden speakers, smoke detectors, and hazardous and chemical waste.
