Elmhurst Library Opens New Maker Space

The grand opening for the Makery will be held July 8.

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst Library's new makerspace, Makery, will have its grand opening Saturday, July 8. According to the library's website, tours will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. so residents can see the new space.

The space will feature an open, flexible work area, a classroom with Mondopad, industrial surfaces, wet bar/sink area, large chalkboard, overhead pull-down electric, on-site dedicated staff and an accessible restroom, according to the library's website.

Those who use the space will be able to use equipment like a laser cutter, knitting machine, 3D printers, paper cutters, sewing machines, dremel, laminator, T-shirt press and several more machines, according to the library's website.
