Elmhurst Library Partially Reopening
The library plans to let in 60 people per hour for one-hour visits.
ELMHURST, IL — The Elmhurst Public Library announced Wednesday that it was reopening June 15, but it won't be back to normal. While it will provide direct access to its collections, it plans to require patrons to make reservations to enter the library one week ahead of time. Online reservations for library visits open next Wednesday.

Under the new rules, visits at the library are limited to one hour and announcements are made 15 minutes before the end of the hour to allow time for checkouts and orderly exiting. Masks will be required of patrons and employees, according to a library news release. To avoid lines, the library asks people to stay in their cars until it is time to enter the building.

Café service, meeting and study rooms will continue to be unavailable.
