Elmhurst Man Among Latest DUI Arrests: Cops
An officer found the local man asleep behind the wheel, report says.
ELMHURST, IL — In the last few days, Elmhurst police arrested three men on DUI charges. Here is information from the reports:
- Daniel V. Zawada, 71, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 2 a.m. Monday at St. Charles and York on a charge of DUI. He was released on bond. According to a police report, an officer saw Zawada asleep behind the wheel.
- Zachary R. Arellano, 29, of Villa Park, was arrested about 11 p.m. Monday at Third and Addison on charges of aggravated DUI, driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana by a driver and disobeying a stop sign. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- Ronnell Patton, 28, of Naperville, was arrested about 3 a.m. Wednesday at Roosevelt and York on charges of DUI and disobeying a police officer. He was released on bond. According to a police report, an officer found Patton asleep behind the wheel. Patton then woke up and drove a short distance before coming to a complete stop.
