Elmhurst Man Charged With Domestic Battery Again: Police
In another case, a man walking in the middle of the road was arrested on a warrant, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of domestic battery and DUI. Here is information from the latest reports:
Domestic battery
- A 38-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 100 block of East Hale Street was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of East Butterfield Road on two counts of domestic battery and counts of interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and violating an order of protection. A woman told police the man battered her and stole her purse and car. The car was later found unoccupied in the nearby Jewel parking lot. The man was taken to the DuPage County Jail. In May, the same man was arrested on a domestic battery charge in the 600 block of North Kenilworth Avenue, police said.

- A 58-year-old Wheaton man was arrested shortly before midnight Thursday at Third Street and Larch Avenue on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant. Police said they were called to check on the well-being of a man walking in the middle of the street. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI
- A 30-year-old Addison man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at North Avenue and Route 83 on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and speeding. He was taken to the police station and released.
- A 20-year-old Melrose Park man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of North Larch Avenue on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured car, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, damage to city property and possession of alcohol by a minor. He was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 34-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Sunday at Route 83 and Riverside Drive on charges of DUI, improperly using lanes, disobeying a traffic signal, illegal transportation of open alcohol by a driver and illegal possession of marijuana by a driver. She was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 25-year-old Des Plaines man was arrested about 4:30 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of West Grand Avenue on charges of DUI, no valid driver's license, driving an uninsured car and illegal transportation of open alcohol. He was taken to the police station and then released.
