A responding officer greeted the man, who replied, "F--- off. Get out of here," the report said.
The man then hit the driver's side of the squad car and tried to open the officer's door, but it was locked, police said.
The man then tried to open another officer's car door. They then arrested him.
The mother told police they had lived next to the man for six years, but they had never seen him act this way, according to the report.
The mother said the man normally keeps to himself and has an occasional drink.
She said the door could no longer close properly because of what the man did. She estimated the damage at $300 to $350.
The mother also suspected the man damaged skeleton decorations in her yard.
The man was charged with criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. He was released to medics, who took him to Elmhurst Hospital, police said.
