Elmhurst Man Files False Police Report: Cops

Officers were called twice to a residence over a couple of days.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police were called twice to an apartment over a couple of days last week.

About 11 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a domestic disturbance and arrested a 41-year-old woman who lived in the eighth-floor apartment at The Flynn, 183 N. Addison Ave., according to a report.

She was accused of scratching a man and refusing to leave the apartment. Police said the man had a visible cut. The woman was taken to the DuPage County Jail on a charge of domestic battery.

In the early evening Friday, officers were called again after the 44-year-old man accused the woman of damaging and removing several items from his apartment while moving out, police said. She denied the allegations.

Through an investigation, officers learned the man had filed a false report, police said. He was charged with attempted disorderly conduct and released.
