Elmhurst Man Fled From Officer: Cops
In another case, a man was charged with retail theft after stealing an electronic device from a store, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police released their arrest log Thursday. Here is information from the reports:
Fleeing Officer
- William S. Solis, 34, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 2 a.m. Tuesday at North and Indiana avenues on charges of fleeing and eluding an officer, obstruction, possession of open alcohol in a vehicle, speeding, driving an uninsured vehicle and driving with a suspended license. Police said Solis did not stop until pulling into a driveway and then walked away from his car. He was released on bond.

- Eduardo Cruz, 32, of Oswego, was cited about 1:30 p.m. Monday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on charges of retail theft and aggravated driving while license revoked. Cruz stole an electronic device, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Leaving crash scene
- Gali Ruiz Caj, 19, of Melrose Park, was cited shortly before midnight Tuesday at Grand Avenue and Lake Street on charges of leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol, no valid driver's license, improper lane usage and driving an uninsured vehicle. Police said he ran away from the crash. He was released on bond.
