Elmhurst Man Refuses To Give Up Fireworks: Cops
Officers collected his fireworks and placed them into evidence for destruction, police said.
ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst man was arrested on the Fourth of July after he refused to relinquish his fireworks, local police said.
Karlo G. Perssico, 49, was charged with resisting an officer and possessing fireworks. He was released on bond.
As he was being arrested, Perssico refused to place his hands behind his back and did not provide his identification, police said.

The incident happened about 7:30 p.m. in the 600 block of North Michigan Street, where Perssico lives, police said.
