Elmhurst Man Throws Laptop At Woman: Cops

He was charged with domestic battery and taken to jail, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of domestic battery and DUI. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 21-year-old man who lives in the 400 block of North Berteau Avenue in Elmhurst was arrested about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at his house on a charge of domestic battery. The man threw a laptop at a woman and shook her, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • A 22-year-old Cicero woman was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at Clarion Inn, 933 S. Riverside Drive, on a charge of domestic battery. Police said she pushed and shoved a man. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • An 18-year-old Melrose Park man was arrested about 8 p.m. Tuesday at Grand Avenue and County Line Road on charges of DUI, possession of open alcohol in a car, consumption of alcohol by a minor, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving an uninsured car, improper lane usage and reckless driving. He was released.

Warrant

  • A 33-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on a Cook County Sheriff's Office warrant. He turned himself into the Elmhurst police station. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
