Elmhurst Man Who Grabs Woman Charged: Cops

In another case, a driver was arrested after trying to strike a bicyclist, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of domestic battery, disorderly conduct and DUI. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 20-year-old man who lives in the 200 block of East North Avenue in Elmhurst was arrested about 1 p.m. Sunday at his house on two counts of domestic battery. Police said the man pushed and grabbed a woman, injuring her. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Disorderly conduct

  • A 52-year-old Des Plaines man was arrested about 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Road and Canadian National Railroad on a charge of disorderly conduct. Police said the man opened his passenger side door in an attempt to hit a bicyclist. He was released.

DUI

  • A 35-year-old Round Lake Beach woman was arrested about 10 p.m. Wednesday at Melrose and North avenues on charges of DUI, possession of open alcohol, expired registration and improper lighting. She was released.
  • A 32-year-old Hinsdale man was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Friday at Prospect Avenue and Butterfield Road on charges of DUI, speeding, driving an uninsured car and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. He was released.
  • A 44-year-old Addison man was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of West North Avenue on a charge of DUI. He was released.
  • A 48-year-old Bloomingdale man was arrested about 5 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of North York Street on charges of DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was released.
  • A 22-year-old Aurora man was arrested about 5 a.m. Sunday at Route 83 and North Avenue on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured car, driving with a suspended license, illegal transportation of alcohol and stopping, standing or parking in a roadway. He was released.
  • A 32-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 1 a.m. Monday at Route 83 and Second Street on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, driving an uninsured car, improper lane usage, and stopping, standing or parking in a roadway. He was released.
