Elmhurst Man's Accidental Gunfire Hits Garages: Cops
The resident faces a charge of unlawful discharge of a firearm.

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst man was clearing his gun last week when he accidentally fired a round, police said.
Anthony A. Romano, 35, who lives in the 200 block of South Pick Avenue, was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm. The incident happened about 6 p.m. June 22, police said.
According to a police report, a neighbor in the 200 block of South Oakland Grove told police he found what appeared to be a bullet inside the siding of his garage. Another neighbor also discovered a hole in the garage.

Romano admitted to accidentally firing his 9 mm gun in his garage, police said.
According to the report, Romano also admitted to firing his BB gun during the early evening of June 28. He said he accidentally put multiple BB holes in the side of a neighbor's garage in the 200 block of South Pick Avenue, police said. He was charged with criminal damage.
