Elmhurst Neighbors Charged With Fireworks

A bomb squad was called to their neighborhood to remove the fireworks, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Two Elmhurst neighbors were charged with the use and possession of fireworks over the weekend.

The men identified as Jason E. Weisz, 44, and Abel Feratovic, 45, both of whom live in the 700 block of South Stratford Avenue.

About 9:30 p.m. Saturday, police said they were called about fireworks being detonated on the street near Stratford and Madison Street. The fireworks were commercial grade, police said.

The DuPage County Sheriff's Office's bomb squad responded to remove the fireworks, police said.
