Elmhurst Neurosciences welcomes Dr. Ligia Rioja

The Elmhurst Neurosciences Institute has announced Ligia Rioja, MD, board certified in Neurology and Neurophysiology, is joining its team.

Dr. Rioja is seeing patients in the Elmhurst Neurosciences Institute offices at 1200 S. York Rd. Suite 3160 in Elmhurst and 1100 Lake St., Suite 230 in Oak Park. To schedule an appointment at either location, call (331) 221-9095.

Her clinical interests include Parkinson’s disease, back pain, Alzheimer’s, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, peripheral nervous system disorders, seizure disorders, stroke and Botox injections for migraines.

Dr. Rioja received her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed her residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She received fellowship training in EEG/Epilepsy and EMG/Neuromuscular Disease. Dr. Rioja is a member of the American Academy of Neurology. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
