Elmhurst Parks Ranked Among Best in Western Suburbs

Berens Park and Wilder Park in Elmhurst made the mykidlist.com list.

When it comes to the best parks in the western suburbs, Elmhurst has two of them, according to rankings recently released by mykidlist.com.

Kidlist, an online resource for activities for kids in the near western suburbs, asked its readers for suggestions on the best parks in the area. And then went to check out and choose their favorites from the top suggestions.

Berens Park, 493 N Oaklawn Ave. in Elmhurst made that list. Here is what mykidlist.com had to say about the park:

There are two sections to this large park. The first has a playground, splash pad and you can get snacks at The Hub concession building. There is also a miniature golf course and sledding hill close by. On the other side of the tennis courts is another playground with more equipment and a sand area.

Wilder Park, 175 S Prospect Ave. in Elmhurst also made the list. Here is what the website wrote about the park:

Besides having a great playground, Wilder Park is centrally located next to the Wilder Park Conservatory, Elmhurst Public Library, Elmhurst Art Museum, Lizzadro Museum and the Wilder Mansion.
