Elmhurst Plans Electronics Recycling Event

ELMHURST, IL — The city will host an Electronics Recycling event on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the public works facility at 985 S. Riverside Drive. The event, which is in cooperation with DuPage County, will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to the city, the following items can be recycled at no charge: computers, laptops, DVD players, game consoles, mobile phones, VCRs, mice, scanners, fax machines, keyboards, satellite receivers, copiers, printers, digital converter boxes, cable receivers and servers.
There are fees for TVs and monitors: up to 21 inches $25; 21 inches and above $35. The city said there are new regulations that are being finalized for 2019, so check the city website prior to the event for the updated list of what can be recycled.
