Elmhurst Police Officers Give Time For Local Kids

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police officers volunteered their time Saturday and took seven Elmhurst kids shopping for Christmas during the annual DuPage County Sheriff's Ofice's Shop with a Cop event. The local officers escorted the kids from the police department to the Ackerman Sports Complex in Glen Ellyn, where they were able to play games and scale climbing walls.

From there, a procession of officers from other police agencies in DuPage County went to Meijer, where the kids were able to shop with their partner Elmhurst police officers with donations from Elmhurst officers and the Elmhurst Police Benevolent Athletic Association.
