Armed Robbers Who Shot Sycamore Clerk Caught In Elmhurst: Police

The third suspect was found under an outdoor deck.

ELMHURST, IL - Three suspects involved in armed robberies in Sycamore and Carol Stream were taken into custody Tuesday in Elmhurst. According to a release, two of the suspects were immediately taken into custody after a single-vehicle accident, but the third suspect fled on foot. Elmhurst Police arrested the third suspect Tuesday morning at 8:05 a.m. after an observant resident in the 100 block of East Lake Frontage Street called 911, and the suspect was located hiding under an outdoor deck.

According to Sycamore Police, the three suspects have been identified as Tevin Woods, 26, of Chicago, D Angelo Bryant, 21, of Indianapolis and Terrance Storey, 28, of Chicago. Sycamore Police were investigating an armed robbery where two suspects entered a 7-11 with a firearm and struggled with the clerk, who was shot twice in the lower body.

Elmhurst Police said at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday officers responded to North Avenue and Willow Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash. When officers arrived, three occupants fled from the vehicle on foot. Elmhurst Police, with assistance from other police agencies, were able to locate two of the suspects. A firearm was also recovered at the scene, police said.
