Elmhurst Senior Citizens Commission Awards Individuals For Volunteer Service
13 outstanding individuals were recognized for rendering stellar public service to Elmhurst residents.

ELMHURST, IL — The Senior Citizens Commission honored exceptional and outstanding senior volunteers at a ceremony held on Sept. 28. According to the city, award recipients were recognized for their shown commitment, kindness and generosity through selfless efforts and dedication that provide comfort and relief to the lives of the less privileged and most vulnerable.
The city said 13 outstanding individuals were recognized for rendering stellar public service to Elmhurst residents. These individuals do behind-the-scenes work, and never seek recognition for all that they do to help make the city the best it can be and what it is today- a great place to live.
The “2017 Outstanding Senior Citizen Service Award” was awarded to Celestia Boughner and Wayne Hoffman. The 11 individuals awarded "2017 Senior Service Award" include: Matthew Geraldi, Emil Haddad, Gail Menconi, Mary Ellen Milos, Charlotte Mushow, Brian Murphy, Ann Pasnick, Ed Ronne, Joyce Ruchti, Terry Walden and Francis Wenig.
