Elmhurst Shop Reports Strange $100 Bill
In another case, a warrant was issued for a person who shoved another in a domestic disturbance, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a counterfeit bill, a domestic disturbance, equipment theft, a vandalized car, a stolen sign, a drunk person at York High School, trespassing and attempted theft. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Counterfeit
- iVape, 261 N. York St., told police Thursday that the store received a $100 bill that was listed as "for motion picture purposes" in its weekly deposit. It is unknown who brought in the bill or when.
Domestic disturbance

- Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 8:30 a.m. Saturday at a house in the 900 block of South Kirk Avenue. A woman told police that another person shoved her during an argument. The other person had left before the officers arrived. Police issued a warrant for the person.
Equipment theft
- CE Rentals, 441 W. Lake St., told police Thursday that a back roller motor was stolen from an asphalt roller. The business believes the motor was switched out by the suspect while the equipment was rented out between Sept. 9 and Oct. 7. Technicians at CE Rentals found the roller was replaced with an older motor. An investigation is pending.

- A car was vandalized about 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of North Larch Avenue. An investigation is pending.
Drunk at school
- A drunk person was found about 9 a.m. Friday at York High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
Stolen sign
- A sign in a front yard was stolen between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Thursday at a house in the 400 block of West Elm Park Avenue.
Trespassing
- A former employee of Fireplace & Chimney Authority, 120 E. Lake St., trespassed at the business about 1:30 p.m. Friday. The person was given a no-trespass notice.
Fugitive driver
- An officer tried to stop a black Chevrolet Suburban SUV about 11:30 a.m. Saturday at North and Glade. The driver sped way, last seen heading east on Lake Street.
Attempted theft
- Two suspects tried stealing a bicycle about 5 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of North Highview Avenue. They fled.
Falls
- A woman fell while walking her dog on the sidewalk and struck her head about 10 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of South Swain. She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
- A drunk person fell shortly before midnight Saturday in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
Theft
- A person told police Sunday that someone stole her credit cards, money and other items from her purse at Bella Terra Elmhurst nursing home, 420 W. Butterfield Road. An investigation is pending.
