Elmhurst Woman Accused Of Domestic Battery: Cops

In another case, a woman was charged with child endangerment and DUI.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of domestic battery, child endangerment and driving violations. Here is information from the latest police reports:

Domestic battery

  • Kerri Crawley, 42, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 10 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of North Michigan on three counts of domestic battery. According to a police report, Crawley hit two people during an argument. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Melissa A. Ogrodny, 34, of Elmwood Park, was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Myrtle Avenue on charges of DUI and endangering the life of a child (three counts). According to a police report, officers responding to a domestic disturbance were told that Ogrodny was driving a car with three children inside. She was released on bond.

DUI

  • Andre D. Griffin 35, of Peoria, was arrested about 5 a.m. Monday in the 800 block of Poplar Avenue on two Peoria County warrants and charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of open alcohol and driving an uninsured motor vehicle. According to a police report, Griffin was found asleep behind the wheel in a resident's driveway. He was released on bond.

  • Darcel D. Craig Jr., 26, of Chicago, was cited about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at Route 83 and Lake on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving a vehicle with suspended registration and driving an uninsured vehicle. He was released on bond.
  • Tris Evans Madison, 29, of Baldwin, Louisiana, was cited about 9 a.m. Tuesday at North Avenue and Route 83 on charges of having no valid driver's license and disobeying a traffic control signal. He was released on bond.
  • Marissa L. Garay, 24, of Melrose Park, was cited about 4 p.m. Wednesday at North and Indiana on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured vehicle and speeding. She was released on bond.
