Elmhurst Woman Arrested In Domestic Disturbance: Cops

Local officers also charged people with drug possession and drunken driving.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of domestic battery, drugs and DUI. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • Kanika Banks, 28, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 10 block of Elm Creek Drive on a charge of domestic battery. Police said Banks pushed a woman and threatened her with pepper spray. Banks was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Drugs

  • Marion Black Jr., 56, and Litanya Black, 54, both of Indianapolis, Indiana, were arrested about 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of North York Street on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also charged with possession of open alcohol. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Bryan Schiavone, 32, of Wood Dale, was arrested about 11 p.m. Tuesday at York Street and Vallette Road on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana by a driver, improper turn at an intersection and driving an uninsured car. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUIs

  • Arnulfo Galvez-Banuelos, 38, of Addison, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at Maple and North avenues on charges of DUI, attempted obstruction of justice, driving an uninsured car and stopping on the roadway. He was released on bond.
