Elmhurst Woman Arrested In Roommate Dispute: Police

A chronic nuisance warning was issued to a household in a local neighborhood, according to a report.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving trespassing, a chronic nuisance, drug possession, a drug search at a school, a burglary and a stolen semi-truck. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Trespassing

  • Geena Quiles, 30, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 2 p.m. Saturday in the 10 block of Elm Creek Drove on a charge of criminal trespassing. Police said Quiles entered her roommate's locked bedroom and damaged several items. She was released on bond.

  • A chronic nuisance warning was issued Tuesday to a house in the 400 block of West Alma Avenue.

Drug possession

  • David Rodriguez, 40, of Woodstock, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of South York Street on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they were called because Rodriguez was passed out. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Ole Auto Sales, 260 W. Grand Ave., told police that it received a repossessed car from TH Towing & Recovery about 3 p.m. Wednesday. Upon checking the inventory, the car was found to contain automotive scanners and key fobs for other cars. An investigation is pending.

Drugs search at school

  • An officer helped with a canine narcotic search about 9 a.m. Tuesday at Timothy Christian Schools, 188 W. Butterfield Road.

Burglary

  • Several storage units were broken into between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Sunday at Public Storage, 297 W. Lake St. The items were found in a stolen car in Addison.

Semi-truck stolen

  • A semi-truck was stolen Monday at Super Ego Logistics, 677 N. Larch Ave. The theft was reported the next day. An investigation is pending.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 400 block of West Grantley told police Wednesday that someone accessed her checking account and completed two transactions.

Scam

  • A resident in the 400 block of North Highview Avenue told police Wednesday that he contacted someone on Instagram and bought some shocks. The item never arrived.

Check fraud

  • A resident told police Wednesday that someone attempted to wash and cash checks he dropped off in a mailbox in the 100 block of Addison Avenue. The attempted transaction was unsuccessful.

Damage

  • Someone used some type of heat source and damaged two cars between Sunday and Wednesday in a driveway in the 400 block of West Alexander Boulevard. An investigation is pending.
