Elmhurst Woman Faces Domestic, Weapons Charges: Cops

She is accused of assaulting someone else, according to a police report.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police responded to two domestic situations. Here is information from the reports:

  • Kara Koskela, 34, of Elmhurst, was arrested about Wednesday on two counts of battery and one count of unlawful use of a weapon. About 8 p.m. June 11, she assaulted someone else in the 200 block of South Monterey, police said. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 8 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of South Pick Avenue. A man said a family member bought a gun, which the man said made him uncomfortable. The family member agreed to safely store the gun at another house.
