Elmhurst Woman Fires Blank Gun, Then Charged: Cops
Police were called about shots fired in a local neighborhood.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police charged people with disorderly conduct, retail theft and burglary. Here is information from the reports:
Disorderly conduct
- A 29-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 500 block of West Crockett Avenue was cited about 5 p.m. Wednesday at her home on a charge of disorderly conduct. Police were called to the neighborhood because of a report of shots fired. The woman was found to have fired blank rounds from a blank gun, police said. She was released.
Retail theft

- A 42-year-old Melrose Park man and a 45-year-old Westchester man were arrested about 9 a.m. Monday on retail theft charges. They were both accused of stealing at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave. The 42-year-old was also charged with retail theft in connection with stealing three packs of Pokémon cards from Walgreens, 160 N. Robert Palmer Ave. The men were given no-trespass notices for both stores. They were released.
Burglary
- Guillermo Jose Herrera-Crespo, 28; Maikel Antero Suarez-Trejo, 22; and Yanfer Fernando Colmenares-Ramirez, 20, were arrested about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on charges of burglary and retail theft. The first two men were listed as homeless, while the other lives in Chicago. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Warrant

- A 25-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at North Avenue and Route 83 on a McHenry County warrant. Police came into contact with the man because his car had broken down. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
