Elmhurst Woman Hosts Underage Party: Cops

In another incident, a man batters others on a bar's property, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of battery, retail theft, DUI and hosting an underage party. Here is information from the police reports:

Underage party

  • A 57-year-old Elmhurst woman was cited about 9:30 p.m. Friday on a charge of hosting an underage party where minors consumed alcohol. Police said the party was at her house in the 400 block of South Rex Boulevard.

  • A 24-year-old Villa Park man was arrested shortly after midnight Saturday on four counts of battery. Police said they responded to a disturbance at 683 W. St. Charles Road, which is the address for Manny's Ale House. He was released.
  • A 39-year-old Wheaton woman was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, on a charge of battery. Police said the woman grabbed a hospital employee's wrist and shoved the employee while the employee was trying to treat her. The woman denied the allegations. She was released.

Retail theft

  • A 24-year-old Alsip woman was arrested Wednesday on a charge of retail theft. Her arrest was connected to an incident shortly after midnight Nov. 4 at 7-Eleven, 155 E. First St. Police said she stole various tobacco items and left in a black SUV. In response to a warrant, she turned herself in. She was released.
  • A 26-year-old Cicero man was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on a charge of retail theft. Police said the man and a youth, who was also arrested, were hiding merchandise in their pockets. They were released.

DUI

  • A 29-year-old Carol Stream man was arrested about 3 a.m. Thursday at Lake Street and County Line Road on charges of DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving an uninsured car and disobeying a traffic control device. Police said his car hit a bridge. He was taken to the police station and released.
  • A 38-year-old Villa Park man was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of West St. Charles Road on charges of DUI and criminal property damage. Police said they were called to respond to a hit-and-run report. The man was taken to the police station and released.
