Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry Launches July 'Freedom From Hunger' Drive

The month-long campaign asks donors to give $25 to help cover a pantry visit for a family of four.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry has launched a month-long fundraising campaign aimed at helping residents facing food insecurity across northeast DuPage.

The initiative, called "Freedom from Hunger," will run through July and is tied to America's 250th birthday, according to the organization.

The pantry serves nine communities in northeast DuPage and is asking supporters to donate throughout the month. For every $25 donation, donors can sponsor grocery and personal care products for a family of four for that family’s monthly visit to the pantry.
