Elmhurst's Impact Junior Poms Company Takes Third At State
Elmhurst Park District's Impact Junior Poms Company won third place at the Illinois Recreational Cheer Association State Championship.

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst Park District's Impact Junior Poms Company won third place at the Illinois Recreational Cheer Association State Championship on Sunday, Dec. 3 at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates. The park district said in a release the company participated in IRCA regional competitions this fall prior to advancing to the state finals.
"I'm very proud of these dancers. This is their first year of competition and they worked hard to make it to the top three in the State!" Kathlyn Loveless, Impact Dance Company director, said in a release.
According to the park district, Impact Junior Poms Company will go on a holiday tour with the entire Impact Dance Company, which includes tap, jazz, hip hop and lyrical dancers. The tour includes a performance for residents of Casa San Carlo Retirement Community in Northlake and a performance at the half-time show of the Windy City Bulls game on Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates.
