EMH Foundation raises $38,000 at Hope. Lives. Here. Luncheon

The Elmhurst Memorial Hospital (EMH) Foundation raised $38,129 at its Hope. Lives. Here. Luncheon on Oct. 25 at the Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook.

Speakers at the Luncheon included Christina Lavin, MS, LCGC, Genetic Counselor, Nancy W. Knowles Cancer Center and Deborah Lindner, MD, FACOG, LCGC, Chief Medical Officer, Bright Pink, an organization with the mission of saving women’s lives from breast and ovarian cancer by empowering them to live proactively at a young age.

The annual event is held to increase awareness and raise funds for the Nancy W. Knowles Cancer Center and Elmhurst Hospital’s oncology services. Proceeds from the Luncheon will be used to provide patients with educational materials to learn more about their specific needs, provide community screenings for early detection and prevention, and offer the latest therapies, such as the use of the DigniCap Scalp Cooling System to lessen hair loss during chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer.
